Lawtree expands to Hasselt with new partner

Lawtree Advocaten is proud to announce that it is expanding its team with a new partner, Jonathan Himpe, opening a third office in Hasselt. This expansion allows us to now have a physical presence in Limburg, allowing us to support our clients in the region more personally and efficiently.

An expert in tax law and sports law

Jonathan has been a lawyer since 2013 and began his career at the Antwerp Bar before settling permanently in Hasselt. Jonathan advises individuals and businesses on the most complex tax matters, assists them with tax audits, and represents them, where necessary, in subsequent proceedings before the courts. His practice covers various tax matters, including personal income tax, corporate income tax, VAT, international taxation, real estate taxation and inheritance tax.

In addition, Jonathan is also an esteemed sports law attorney. He provides legal advice to sports clubs, federations and athletes, and is closely involved in some of the leading commercial partnerships within the sports industry. Jonathan sits on the disciplinary committees of several sports federations and was the only Belgian lawyer included on the closed list of Pro Bono Counsels of the European Football Federation UEFA, underlining his broad expertise and passion in this sector.

Outside of his law practice, Jonathan is academically active as a practice assistant at Hasselt University and as a visiting professor at Hogeschool PXL, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and experience in tax and sports law to future lawyers. His academic commitment makes him a valuable addition to Lawtree.

New branch in accessible location in Hasselt

With offices in Antwerp, Turnhout and now Hasselt, we continue to invest in accessible and quality legal services. The opening of our Limburg branch is a logical next step in our mission to be close to our clients.

Building the future of Lawtree together

We are extremely pleased to welcome Jonathan to our team. His expertise, way of working and drive are a perfect fit for Lawtree. In addition, his arrival is an important step for the further expansion of our firm. We are therefore very pleased to now also be able to assist our existing clientele with legal issues within tax law and sports law,” said Nicolas Wesling, partner at Lawtree. Jonathan will not only advise and counsel clients within Lawtree, but also contribute to the continued development of the firm.

With this expansion, we remain true to our mission: to provide businesses, corporations and governments with high-quality legal support tailored to their specific needs. Our teams in Antwerp, Turnhout and from now on Hasselt are ready to assist you!
